brontosaurus bc-light up-blogToday’s “around the studio” photo shows multiple brontosauruses.  As usual, the first drawing in the sketchbook is better than the finished version.

      Thank you. There’s actually something kind of wonky about the head on the one on the finished piece, but I’ve fixed it since I took the photo.

    They dumped “Apatosaurus” and went back to Bronto? WooWoo!

    Well, it’s apparently not entirely settled, but the Peabody Museum at Yale, which holds the original specimen, has changed the name back on their signage, and that’s good enough for me.

    I thought the issue was they renamed Bronto to Apato but then discovered that they were actually two different species after all? i know, I could just look it up on Wikipedia, but I’m feeling nostalgic for the days when looking things up was a chore. Aaaand… I’m writing my thoughts on this subject on a blog. Aargh.
