“Tick Park”? Is it so named because one has to watch out for ticks getting on one’s person there?

Indeed. Its proper name is “Sunset Hill Park” , and it’s a lovely place– a huge old farm that was left to the county, with woods and fields and old barns and two big ponds. There are paths everywhere and all kinds of plants and animals and it’s a lot of fun, but in the summer the more remote areas are full of ticks like boy howdy. Dress properly and wear DEET and if you take my advice stay out of the big grass field south of the woods.
