First, Happy Armstrong Day. On July 20th 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin of NASA became the first human beings to walk on the surface of another world. Those of you who are too young to remember that day, and those (so many of you!) who were born in the 46 years that have passed since then: trust me; it was an amazing day. To a child of eight, it seemed like the beginning of everything. By the time I was grown up I would be living in the World of the Future, and it was going to be so cool.
That the other topic of the day. Our house internet is out. Service should be returning soon, but until then I’ll be blogging from my phone or via wireless, care of cafes, the public library, or generous friends. Expect brief posts and none of the big camera photos and site updates I was planning for the week. But hey, that’s life here in the World of the Future!
