best of the drawing of the day, week 145: the blacksmith’s daughter

drawingoftheday-week145-blacksmith'sdaughterDon’t know who these two are or where they fit into anything, but be assured that somewhere out there there is a burly hexapod blacksmith whose horse part has snow white fur, and who has a little daughter with a wolf’s head.  Perhaps they are characters in a fairy tale, but they could fit in just as easily in a magical realist urban fantasy, or any kind of Gothic from the grim to the lighthearted.  Remember that a blacksmith, by his very nature, is most of the way to being a wizard, and that prepubescent girls are notorious for their unstable powers.  Never take treat this pair casually.

(And yes, his tail should probably be white.)
