And there we go– the basic inks for The Steaming Pool, completed from raw idea in about 22 hours of work spread over 5 days. In that same period, I also wrote a 1250 word essay, made 4 drawings of the day and posted 26 times to this blog, plus managed assorted dog walks, cooking, dishes, laundry, errands, emails (business and personal), phone calls (business and personal) and the other essential trivia of everyday life. I also watched a bunch of TV, goofed around on the internet, and played “several” games of Diamond Mine on my iPod. What does this prove? Well, I am not a saint; I’m not even particularly hard working, and I’m certainly not an artistic genius, but I made a goofy little comic about a dog out of nothing, and that’s pretty satisfying.
Actually, that’s a lot satisfying, and I’d really love to just keep going and finish it this week. We’ll see if that happens– I also have the OH Comics! cover to work on. I’ll start on that tomorrow and leave these to dry for a whole day– a wise precaution with some of these pens and the Aurora ink I am using. I hope you’ll see both projects progress in tandem over the next few days.
I probably won’t post again today, but I’ll be around on and off all evening to respond to comments and answer questions. So if there’s anything you want to know, please speak up. And thanks for watching minicomics live 4, the first live minicomic for this year.

Ohhh, BRAVO!

Thank you, thank you. I’ll be here all week.
Opera people would insist on “brava” in this case. but I’m not picky. Seriously. Thanks. This is one of those projects that’s harder than it looks.
This is mt favorite comic you’ve done in a long time. I don’t know if it is the gorey style, but I really like every page. Bravo indeed!
Thank you very much, Meg. Hope you still like it when it’s finished.
Dang it, I knew it was Brava, I’ve even used Brava in a post on this blog a few weeks ago. Chalk it up to a looooong couple weeks and a tall cocktail, LOL
Sounds good, Rickster. Well, not today, but usually.
