My, my. What have we here?
Looks like a whole transporter full of the brand new 2013 Dodge Darts. This is my first sighting of this new Fiat based small car that is supposed to be one of the bread and butter cornerstones of the new Chrysler.
Front and rear three-quarters and side view here– enough for a good spot. And yes, those are definitely the new Darts. They are based on a slightly larger version of the platform that underlies the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta. This raises two questions.
1) You call this a Dart? Us old folks remember the great Slant Six Darts of the past, and this is not much of a Dart.
This is a Dart.
2) And why bother with a reformatting, particularly such a dull one? I personally would be quite happy with the Giulietta, thank you very much. It’s a pretty little car in a tidier size.
Yes, the camera goes from the mundane as sublime to the mundane as mundane as we go from yesterday’s post to today’s. At least we’ve kept the grey and red color scheme. New Darts: black, grey, silver, red. Old Darts: lotsa colors, including chocolate brown, pine green, bright orange, etc. Chrysler should think about this.
