Today I offer you: a drawing that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I don’t make them up, folks. That is, I usually don’t. Occasionally, I approach the drawing of the day with something in mind that I want to draw. Slightly more often my first scribbles suggest an idea and I finish the drawing to match that idea. And sometimes you get a guy in boxer shorts sitting on a bench with a dog that looks like a bear. Perhaps because I’ve been taking a lot of photos recently, this drawing clearly shows “the photographer’s eye”. They look like they’re posing for a picture, and the imaginary photographer is hoping he can crop out the weirdly dressed person playing with his cellphone on the other end of the bench. Granted, that’s a moderately coherent little story, but it happened after the drawing was mostly finished, not before.
You could also say that this drawing is about the different kinds of lines made by different drawing tools, including whiteout used directly for line work rather than to make corrections. That would be just as accurate.
